Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of cladding projects, including cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for cladding projects.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project contracts and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying variances and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data and progress against budgets.
- Provide commercial advice and support to project managers and other stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on cladding projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and industry-specific quantity surveying software.
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- Previous experience working for a cladding subcontractor or within the Bristol construction market is advantageous.
