The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a “Design Coordinator” to join their talented team in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile major construction projects that are reshaping the London skyline. You’ll be at the heart of coordinating design elements across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of architectural vision with practical construction requirements.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll manage the design process from concept through to completion, coordinating between architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You’ll review technical drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts, chair design team meetings, and maintain design programmes to ensure timely delivery. The position involves tracking design changes, implementing quality control measures, and communicating effectively with project teams to resolve design issues promptly.
Your Background
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in design coordination within the construction industry, preferably on major commercial or residential developments. You should have a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field. Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and building regulations is essential, as is experience with BIM and CAD software. Your communication and stakeholder management skills should be exceptional.
