The Opportunity

Walker & Sloan are working closely with a highly respected regional contractor who are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Property Services Division.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on refurbishment, maintenance, and minor works projects across the education, healthcare, housing, and local authority sectors.

Role Responsibilities

🔹 Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
🔹 Conduct cost analysis for maintenance and refurbishment projects
🔹 Undertake feasibility studies and value management
🔹 Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and report financial progress
🔹 Administer subcontractor payments and accounts
🔹 Negotiate contracts and assist with procurement strategies
🔹 Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients

What We’re Looking For

✅ 3–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (main contractor or property services background preferred)
✅ Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
✅ Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation skills
✅ Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
✅ Full UK driving licence
