Repairs Supervisor

Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week
We’re recruiting a Repairs Supervisor on behalf of a reptuable housing association to manage and motivate a team of trades ensuring responsive repairs are delivered to high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
The Role
You’ll play a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical expertise and customer focus.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supervising a team of Repairs Engineers

Carrying out property inspections and diagnosing complex repairs and hazards

Managing diaries, scheduling works and taking ownership of challenging repair cases

Ensuring all works comply with Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures

Delivering toolbox talks and driving a strong safety culture

Working collaboratively with other supervisors to improve service delivery and share best practice

Conducting regular 1:1s, van audits and materials checks

Coaching, supporting and developing engineers to maximise performance and productivity
About You

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade (e.g. Plumbing, Electrical Installation)

Recognised Supervisory or Management qualification, or equivalent experience

Proven experience within the repairs or property maintenance sector

Strong all-round knowledge of building maintenance and construction

Experience leading and developing small teams in a similar environment

Practical knowledge of responsive repairs and repair diagnostics

Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation

Working knowledge of the social housing sector, including HHSRS and property-related risks
