Known for delivering high-quality and technically complex projects, they continue to expand their portfolio with a strong focus on MOD and Data Centre schemes. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their Bristol office and take the lead on these high-profile projects.

The Role

As a Senior Design Manager, you will take ownership of the design process from pre-construction through to project handover. You will be instrumental in ensuring that design intent is realised, risks are managed, and quality is achieved throughout. Responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams on MOD and Data Centre projects

• Managing design programmes, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and to budget

• Overseeing compliance with technical standards, building regulations, and client specifications

• Working closely with project managers, commercial teams, and clients to resolve design issues

• Driving innovation and best practice within the design function

This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to play a key part in the delivery of technically demanding and strategically important projects.

The Person

We are looking for an individual who brings:

• Significant experience as a Design Manager within construction, ideally on MOD, Data Centre, or other complex technical projects

• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to oversee multidisciplinary design teams

• Excellent organisational and leadership skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships

• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
