Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a well-established and forward-thinking regional contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the South East?
We’re working with a respected regional main contractor that is seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. With offices in both Newbury and Hemel Hempstead, this role offers flexibility in location and the opportunity to work on a range of new build project’s across residential, commercial sectors.
🔧 The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of projects from tender through to final account. You’ll report directly to the Commercial Director and lead the cost management of multiple schemes, while mentoring junior team members where needed.
✅ Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through delivery
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations
- Provide accurate reporting and support decision-making across project teams
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and risk management policies
🎯 Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Track record managing multiple £2m+ projects
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
