Site Manager (General Works) – Gloucestershire

Walker & Sloan are delighted to be partnering with a well-established construction company with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional projects across the South West. We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join their General Works division, managing a variety of smaller-scale projects up to £2 million in value.
The Role:
As a Site Manager within the General Works team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple fast-paced projects across various sectors, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers variety and the chance to work on a diverse range of builds, from commercial refurbishments to smaller new-build schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all works are completed to the required standard
✅ Overseeing health & safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations
✅ Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
✅ Liaising with clients, providing regular updates and maintaining strong relationships
✅ Ensuring the timely delivery of projects within budget constraints
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally working on general works or refurbishment projects
🔹 Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety, and contract management
🔹 Excellent leadership and communication skills
🔹 A hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
🔹 Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
